Changes to Friends of Color Virtual Programming

Friends General Conference thanks you for your continuous support and participation in the Ministry on Racism’s virtual programming over the past several years. As we move forward, we would like to inform you of some upcoming changes to our programming.

Over the past year, we have witnessed a significant reduction in attendance during our virtual events. This decline can be attributed to several factors, including the easing of pandemic restrictions, the return to in-person gatherings, and the overall shift in priorities for many individuals. In light of this, and in consideration of the feedback we received from you in our virtual event evaluation survey, we have made the decision to scale back our virtual Friends of Color programming.

Changes

  • Worship Sharing for Friends of Color, which has previously occurred every other Tuesday at 5 PM ET, will now be held every other Wednesday at 8 PM ET.
  • Evening Worship for Friends of Color, which previously occurred every Wednesday at 8 PM ET, will now alternate with Worship Sharing for Friends of Color every other Wednesday at 8 PM ET.
  • Open House for Friends of Color, which previously occurred every other Friday from 7-9 PM ET, is discontinued.

Unchanged Programming

Virtual programming will restart next week with the BIPOC Womxn’s Space on Monday.

We understand that the virtual programming has served as a vital connection point during the height of the pandemic, allowing us to stay connected and engaged with our community. However, it is important for us to adapt to changing circumstances and allocate our resources where they are most needed. Thank you again for your continued support and feedback of Ministry on Racism programming, and we hope to see you online soon!
