FGC Gathering 2019: Peace in our Hearts, Justice in the World
Over 820 Friends from around the world came together June 30th to July 6th, 2019 at Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA for a week of workshops, worship, and community for all ages.
NEW! The theme for next year’s FGC Gathering is…Way Will Open
Co-Clerks Pasty and Tony Martin announced that the 2020 FGC Gathering will take place June 28 – July 4, 2020 at Radford University in Radford, VA, and will be hosted by Baltimore Yearly Meeting.

FGC’s Institutional Assessment on Systemic Racism
In October 2018, FGC’s governing body approved a minute to move forward with recommendations from the Institutional Assessment on Racism. The Central Committee approved the creation of an Implementation Group, to guide the transformation of FGC into an anti-racist organization. Additionally, FGC has committed to confront and heal white supremacy within our organization and among FGC Friends, and to model anti-racism as we support the work of the Implementation Group.
The approved minute included the following query:
Central Committee resolves that in all FGC decision-making processes beginning with the Fiscal Year 2019 budget, each body shall answer the following query with respect to each decision, “How does this decision support FGC in its goal to transform into an actively anti-racist faith community?”.
