FGC recommends the following tip for newcomers to the Quaker faith: Learn about Quaker colleges.

Quakers founded fifteen colleges and universities in the U.S. and more in other parts of the world. These schools include Haverford College, Earlham College, Swarthmore University, George Fox University, and others. Although some Quaker colleges have come to resemble traditional secular universities in terms of their culture and educational offerings, the Quaker influence can often be seen in a school’s commitment to justice, peace, and high-quality education.
