FGC recommends the following tip for newcomers to the Quaker faith: Stay at a Quaker house when you travel.

There was a time in the United States when Quakers produced a directory and names and addresses of Quakers that would host overnight stays by Friends. Those days are past but Quakers are still in the business of providing welcoming, simple, accommodations around the world. Each is unique and may provide short-term guest rooms, long term residencies, or both.
