FGC recommends the following tip for newcomers to the Quaker faith: Sign up for emails at your local meeting — and then read them.

In addition to worship, there are many ways to get involved and build connections with Friends in your local Quaker meeting. You can bring a dish to a potluck, participate in Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business, attend a social event such as a game night or hike, join a study group, pull weeds during a work day, volunteer with children, and so much more.

Be sure to sign up for your meeting’s email list and stay connected with all that happens within the meeting community.
