FGC recommends the following tip for newcomers to the Quaker faith: Sign up for emails at your local meeting — and then read them.

In addition to worship, there are many ways to get involved and build connections with Friends in your local Quaker meeting. You can bring a dish to a potluck, participate in Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business, attend a social event such as a game night or hike, join a study group, pull weeds during a work day, volunteer with the children, and so much more.

Be sure to sign up for your meeting’s email list and stay connected with all that happens within the meeting community.
