Pay as Led

Pay as Led is a method of offering sliding scale pricing. We have three options for fee levels – Abundant Sharing, Traditional Cost, and Limited Resources. Sliding scale is a method of offering pricing so that the Online Gathering is more accessible for people with a range of abilities to pay. We are all enriched by a broad diversity of attenders. For Friends, sliding scale can be an act of faith for economic justice.

When you register for the Gathering, you will first choose your Event Package – how much of the Online Gathering you are planning to attend. Then you will select your Fee Level on the next page.

Event Packages

At an Online Gathering, you can choose how much of the conference to attend. When you register, you will select one of the event packages listed below. During the Gathering, you will only have access to the events in the package that you registered for.

  • Weekends: This package includes access to all events happening both weekends of the Online Gathering (Saturday & Sunday, February 1 & 2 and 7 & 8.) This includes up to 2 workshops, plenaries, and weekend worship.
  • Meetings: There will be a registration package designed for monthly meetings & worship groups who’d like to stream Online Gathering plenary programs (check back in early December for what that will include!)

There will not be online youth programs at the 2025 Online Gathering, though there will be some events where parents are welcome to join with elementary-aged children. High Schoolers are welcome to attend the Online Gathering, but won’t have age-specific programming. Learn about in-person youth & teen programs.

What do my registration fees pay for at an Online Gathering?

While on-site rentals and room and board costs are eliminated in an Online Gathering, administrative costs remain. The Gathering staff works year-round to support the Gathering Committee’s plans and make them come to fruition. FGC maintains office space, equipment, utilities, and the internet access, platforms and software that an Online Gathering is built on. Producing the program and hiring experts to manage the technical aspects of livestreaming the evening plenary programs are two examples of expenditures necessary for a quality experience. Your registration fees pay for the infrastructure that makes the Gathering happen.

How do I figure out what to pay?

We have three set price categories. We ask that you prayerfully consider your financial resources and the value you believe the Gathering brings to your life and to Friends. Based on this personal reflection, we invite you to choose the fee level you are called to pay. You can also make an additional donation to the Gathering.

    Financial Aid

The “Limited Resources” category has a finite number of slots in order to manage the budget. If the limited resources pricing is still too steep, you should first ask you monthly or yearly meeting for assistance. Then you may let FGC know of your remaining need through the Online Gathering registration form or by emailing lizd@fgcquaker.org.
Register by Friday, January 3 for priority access to financial aid.

    Mahala Ashley Dickerson Fund

The Mahala Ashley Dickerson Fund is a donor-supported fund that defrays the registration fees for People of Color in FGC’s constituent Monthly and Yearly Meeting areas. For the 2025 Online Gathering, the application form will be included on the Online Gathering registration form, and Friends of Color are able to request some of their registration fees be covered by the fund. Learn more about the Mahala Ashley Dickerson Fund.

    Payments and Deposits

A deposit of $50 is due when you register. Please pay your full balance by January 18 – two weeks before the Online Gathering begins. We prefer payment online via debit or credit card.

All fees are listed and calculated in US dollars.
