Friends Committee on National Legislation seeks a Staff Accountant. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant I is an integral part of the Finance and Administration team. The Staff Accountant I provides support to the Accounting Manager and Controller to ensure that FCNL’s financial management is performed in accordance with organizational guidelines, best accounting practices and that work is done as efficiently and effectively as possible
Under the supervision of the American Friends Service Committee’s Director of Grants, the Grants Coordinator provides administrative support to grants officers and the Grant Unit in general. They will manage centralized information systems (databases, files, calendars) of the Unit. The Grant Coordinator works with Grant Officers, supports units, and program units across the organization to coordinate AFSC’s grant submissions, acceptance protocol and grand administration during the grant period. They will oversee grant stewardship by facilitating compliance to grant terms with other departments, and coordinating gift acknowledgements. They will serve as a liaison with the Finance department to ensure proper recording /tracking of allocation and distribution of grant revenue, and cashflow on grant awards.
