The FGC Impact Report 2019 is a story of deep listening. Friends shared in person and through survey thoughts on the Gathering, on becoming an anti-racist faith community, on nurturing spiritual vitality. The Impact Report chronicles how as a community we are creating a vital future for the Religious Society of Friends.

The Impact of Listening Deeply

What FGC learned from the conversations and surveys became a road map on how to move forward. For example, FGC collaborated with 7 yearly meetings in 2019 in the Welcoming Friend Project. Some meetings shared how people were walking in the door, but not staying. So together we looked at reasons why and worked to create a more inclusive welcome for people of color, families, young adults, and LGBTQ+ folks.

The Welcoming Friend Project is just one example of how we embrace that of God in everyone to build vibrant meetings.
