If you’re eagerly awaiting your next hammock read, or a good beach book, we have many suggestions to intrigue your mind and enrich your life, both in fun and in spirit. Check out what titles from QuakerBooks you could be reading this summer!

We look forward to seeing those of you who will be joining us at the FGC summer Gathering at the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota July 3-9. Due to the Gathering, the walk-in store at Pendle Hill will be closed from June 26 until July 14. We will still be fulfilling web orders, though fulfillment may be a bit slower than usual as we move stock from Philadelphia to Minnesota and back again. We will reopen at Pendle Hill on July 14 at 9 a.m.

As you may have read on our webpage, we’re undergoing some changes at QuakerBooks of FGC. One of these changes is that we are moving to a new staffing arrangement. Instead of having two part-time staff, we will have one full-time bookstore manager and one very part-time shipping clerk. This last change is a difficult one as it means losing two much loved staff members – Graham Garner and Jerimy Pedersen. Graham and Jerimy have long been known for their customer service and commitment to the store. We are very grateful for their love of Friends and their dedication to the ministry of the word and know that many Friends will miss them, as will we.

In the Light,
QuakerBooks Staff
