Couple Enrichment workshops provide an opportunity for committed couples to deepen their understanding and appreciation for each other in a safe, supportive setting. Participants learn and practice skills for careful listening and respectful communication. Here is what recent participants have said about their Couple Enrichment experience:

“We fell in love all over again – thank you for creating the space for that to happen!”

“[This workshop] helps establish a foundation of love in the home so that the spirit of God can flourish.”

The program is based on our Quaker tradition of seeking and answering to that of God in everyone. Couple Enrichment workshops are open to any committed couple regardless of religious affiliation, marital status, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

Since 1968 Couple Enrichment has been a program of Friends General Conference. We are excited to announce that in January of 2016 a new independent organization was born – Friends Couple Enrichment – to coordinate the work of our 21 trained leader couples. We are still working out the details of our website and organizational structure, but in the meantime we are grateful to FGC for this opportunity to let Friends know that this ministry continues.

Couple Enrichment workshops are being offered throughout North America in 2016. Upcoming opportunities include:

  • April 15-17 in Fairbanks Alaska (for more information email Cathy Walling and Scott Bell at cathy.a.walling@gmail.com
  • May 6-8 at Friends Camp in South China, Maine (for more information email Jacob and Gretta Stone at jdsfrombucks@gmail.com)
  • May 6-8 near Hickory, North Carolina, with a special emphasis on contemplation (for more information email Mike and Marsha Green at Mikequaker@gmail.com).

Also, two workshops will be offered at the FGC Gathering.
