Welcome to the Rochester NY Friends Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers.  We welcome ALL persons of good will who wish to worship in the manner of Friends.

What's New

Rochester Friends Meeting has several individual roles and standing committees which conduct the affairs for the Business Meeting.  There are also project-related Working Groups and short-lived committees for Clearness, Support, Anchor, etc.


This website exclusively serves the spiritual life and information needs of the Rochester NY Friends Meeting.

Meeting Times: 
11 AM - 12 PM year round.  Note that we do not have religious education for children during the summer months.
12:15 PM to 12:45 PM Tuesday, all year: sparsely attended, press call button to right of Charlotte St door for admittance.
6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, all year: Attica Quaker Worship Group. To participate, contact Gary Barnes 716.882.8240 or Stephen Schultz 585.527.9574.


Our meetinghouse is in downtown Rochester at the corner of Scio and Charlotte Streets. The entrance is under a green awning on Charlotte. We are a block south of Main Street on Scio Street and a block north of East Avenue. There is a municipal parking garage across the street on Scio.

Driving Directions

From Interstate 490 East, take the Down­town/Clinton Avenue exit and go north on Clin­ton Avenue. At Main Street, turn right, go to Scio Street, and turn right again. You will see the meetinghouse to your left at the corner of Scio and Charlotte. The meetinghouse is a red brick building.
From Interstate 490 West, take the Inner Loop exit going east (clockwise). Take the Scio Street exit and turn right onto Scio. The meetinghouse is on on your left, after two traffic signals, at the corner of Scio and Charlotte.
