FGC recommends the following tip for newcomers to the Quaker faith: Participate in Spring Lobby Weekend with Friends Committee on National Legislation.

Each year more than 300 students, recent grads, Quakers, and young adults gather to learn and lobby Congress at the Spring Lobby Weekend, a young adult advocacy conference and day of action sponsored by Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL).

In 2024, participants visited 100 offices of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents to ask for support in passing the Truth & Healing Commission on Indian Boarding Schools bill.
