Event Description
A brainstorming session for younger Friends: Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z Friends.
Saturday, December 2
2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Eastern
11:00 – 12:30 p.m. Pacific
Help us build a spacious, interactive time where we nourish our spirits together. This event is for “younger” Friends, meaning Friends in Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z generations. Parts of this zoom meeting will be recorded.
We’ll spend much of our time in breakout rooms. Breakout rooms are with people close in age. What big questions are alive for you, when it comes to your spiritual life?
Coming back to the large group, we’ll share insights. Johanna Jackson will lead us in a dialogue. We’ll explore the different truths that rise, holding space for each other. We invite Friends to join in the sometimes-messy process of experimentation!
Our time in the large group is recorded. Breakout rooms, however, are not recorded. FGC staff may use a copy of the recording to educate older Friends about younger Friends’ needs. If this is the case, staff will check with speakers to be sure they’re comfortable sharing their words outside the circle.
This event is free.
This program is not for Baby Boomers. It is for younger Friends, including:
- people who serve on committees
- people who don’t
- parents
- non-parents
- teens
- people doing internships
- people who are not rooted in one place
- longtime Quakers
- attenders
- newcomers
Let’s collaborate and support one another!
This program is part of Gathering Anew, a retreat happening January 18-21.
