The Power of Enough workshop invites participants, through queries and experiential exercises, to let Spirit in

Workshop Description

How can I balance my use of time, energy, money, and “things,” to free myself to meaningful work (God’s work) and contribute to right order in our world? Through queries and experiential exercises we reflect on our lives and our choices, and how they ripple forward to others.

Do you:

  • Have faith that there is an abundance of all we need (time, energy, skills, things) to do the work we are called to?
  • Struggle to keep balanced and centered because you take on more than you are called to do?
  • Faithfully make space for God/Guidance to act in the work you’ve been given?
  • Have too many things cluttering your life?
  • Struggle with how unfair it is that so many people in this world live in poverty?

The Power of Enough workshop invites participants, through queries and experiential exercises, to let Spirit in and find that place where Enough is actually an abundant life for each of us. Grounding ourselves in Love, Friends of all ages will be both a window and a door for each other as they share their own stories or experiences, reflecting together as individuals and as a community.

Accessibility

This workshop requires no prerequisite knowledge or materials to be included or to engage. Every effort will be made to ensure interactive elements are inclusive of participants with a range of abilities and/or disabilities.

Under the care of Right Sharing of World Resources, we recognize that deep sharing involves vulnerability. This vulnerability is holy and can also open us to both new and old hurt. We are ready to respond to vulnerability and wounds with honesty, love, appropriate boundary setting, and support. We aim to begin where we are without judgment, allowing but not demanding space for sharing, growth, and change.

Leader Experience

Traci Hjelt Sullivan (she/her) is the Executive Director for Right Sharing of World Resources and regularly leads 60-90 minute participatory workshops in person and online on this same topic. She served as Clerk of the Committee that designed the initial diversity* trainings for FGC Central Committee (*diversity was the word used at the time). These trainings were one of the many threads that led to FGC making a commitment to become an actively anti-racist institution. In addition to RSWR workshops, Traci has designed and led single day, weekend, and five day interactive workshops at Pendle Hill, Ben Lomond Quaker Center, the FGC Gathering, and several Yearly Meetings in the United States. Topics include: Truth, Faithfullness, and Promoting Spirit in Business Meeting, Practicing Prayer, and Training for Supervisors. Traci has been active among Friends for more than thirty years. She is a member of Green Street Friends Meeting in Philadelphia, and is currently worshiping at Chapel Hill Friends Meeting in North Carolina.
