You need a device to display the image/s. Or you can print them. You’ll also need a journal and the queries.

How does the image express the essence of Friendly Practices?

What is deep listening? How will it help me make decisions?

What is discernment?

What is consensus?

What is the sense of the meeting?

How is eldering like or unlike mentoring?

How would you describe sense of the meeting to someone who has a religious practice but isn’t a Quaker?

Have you ever had a leading? Did you have a discernment process about your leading? Describe the experience.

Instructions:

Display an image and give time for reflection. Ask the group to reflect on how the image represents or illustrates Friendly Practices. Respond by journaling, drawing, or discussing.
