Raleigh Friends Meeting's Christmas party doubled as a collection for Love Wins, Raleigh's non-profit organization that assists homeless citizens.  A few months ago, Love Wins received a large donation of pancake mix -- too much for their own uses or even their storage.  They offered the mix to congregations and humanitarian organizations in hopes that they would either feed the hungry or raise funds that would be donated to Love Wins.  Raleigh Friends took two bags and made pancakes and waffles as part of our breakfast-themed potluck dinner.  Along with over $150 in cash, Raleigh Friends donated baby formula, diapers, sleeping bags, clothes, and cold weather supplies.  Young Friends Zoe O'Brien and Blaine Evey-Staley took the donations to Love Wins getting to meet some of the people who benefited from our donations.
