We will be hosting Nine Partners Quarterly Meeting on November 24 at the New Paltz Meetinghouse.  Friends from the Quarter are invited to bring a bag lunch.  As hosts, we will provide soup, beverages, and dessert.

Program for Quarterly Meeting:

The New York Caring Majority is a campaign for a just long-term care system. It is calling on the power of seniors, people with disabilities, home-care workers, family care givers and concerned citizens to address the shortage of home care workers and their shockingly low wages.

A major feature of the campaign is to push for the passage of the New York Health Act. Among its many advantages, the Health Act will ensure affordable long-term care for all.

Julia Solow, the Lead Organizer in the Hudson Valley for the New York Caring Majority Campaign, will present information on The Health Act and, in an interactive session of small groups, garner Friends' experiences with needing and providing home care.

Anita Paul from the NYYM aging concerns committee will attend the program.
