New Paltz Friends Meeting

Quakers have been worshiping in New Paltz since at least the 1860s, when the Smiley brothers purchased land on Lake Mohonk.  The New Paltz Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends is a Quaker meeting in the progressive tradition, and is affiliated with the the New York Yearly Meeting.

Meeting Times

Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Midweek worship is Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Book discussion:  Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Muffin time (social gathering):  second Sunday at 9:15 a.m.

Business:  third Sunday of the month at 9 a.m.

What's New

Friends, next week we expect to be worshiping in person for the first time in just over two years.
We have put protocols in place that include requiring masks and limiting the number of people. Please do review the attached document first, but you are welcome to join us if there is room. We will continue to worship via zoom, as well.

We mark the passing of David Cardall who had been struggling with cancer and wasstaying with his sister in PA.  A memorial service will be planned for the spring.
