Each year, FGC’s Ministry on Racism Program sponsors opportunities in the Spring and Fall for Friends of Color and their families to come together to build multi-generational community through:
- Mutual support and sharing
- Worship
- Exploring our Faith
- Sharing what brought us to Friends
- Identifying ways to support each other
Previous retreats have been held in upstate New York, the Philadelphia area, Washington DC, Chicago, and California. Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry on Racism has held virtual retreats for Friends of Color over Zoom — one in April 2020, two in October and November of 2020, and one in March 2021. All retreats hosted by the Ministry on Racism will be held virtually through the end of 2021.
All FGC Virtual Friend of Color Retreats are now pay as led, which means free to Friends of Color if they are unable to pay. We would appreciate any donations to FGC for these retreats. Donations help the organization pay for the staff time that goes into putting them together. You can donate here and specify that your donation should go to the Ministry on Racism.
