2024 Hybrid Fall Retreat for Friends of Color 

Event Description

The 2024 Fall Retreat for Friends of Color will be a hybrid retreat, with both in-person and online offerings. The in-person portion will be held at Powell House in Old Chatham, NY.

Financial aid deadline (please register for retreat first!): October 4

In-person registration deadline: October 4

Virtual registration deadline: October 18

Options for Participation:

1. In-person participation: We have 12 rooms available at Powell House (some of which have more than one bed) where Friends may stay overnight. Rooms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis with the possible exception of accessibility-related requests. We will convene at Powell House for retreat programming and meals as well. 

2. Virtual participation: If attending in person is not feasible, you can still be an integral part of the retreat through Zoom. We’ll ensure that you’re actively engaged and included throughout the weekend.

Program Fees: 

• Overnight fee – Single room: $360
• Overnight fee – Double room: $270
• Youth (13-22): $170
• Children (0-12): $110
• Commuter fee – No overnight accommodations: $100
• Virtual fee: $60

Financial Assistance:

We understand that travel and program fees can be a concern for some, and we want to ensure that the retreat is accessible to all who wish to attend. The following funds are available to support travel and program costs:

• Bayard Rustin Fund for travel costs related to attending this FGC event
• Mahala Ashley Dickerson Fund for registration costs of this FGC event

To request financial assistance, please first complete the registration for the retreat and then submit a request to the above forms by October 4.
