More Information on "Quakers: the Quiet Revolutionaries"

Dear Friends,

Recently Outreach Committee alerted Friends to the showing of the film “Quakers: the Quiet Revolutionaries”.  Below is the information when the film will appear.

Outreach Committee also wanted to let Friends know how they might see the film if they don't have a television or a cable/network-connected television.

YouTube TV streams PBS.  A monthly subscription costs $11.99.  A free 30-day trial is offered, as well.  Go to https://www.youtube.com/premium for more information and to subscribe or try the free trial.

Additionally, we have asked Religious Education Committee to see about purchasing "Quakers: the Quiet Revolutionaries".  It might then be shown as a second Sunday program.

QUAKERS: THE QUIET REVOLUTIONARIES

"Quakers: the Quiet Revolutionaries", a recent documentary on Friends, will appear on PBS in May. It recounts the history of Friends, following seven well-known Quakers, including Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul and Bayard Rustin. The Earth Quaker Action team is also featured. It looks like a well-done film.

The show is scheduled for Sunday, May 24 at 1:30 PM on Blue Ridge PBS, channel 15.1. It is also scheduled for Tuesday, May 26 at 8 PM on SWAP-TV, channel 15.2, a new channel from Blue Ridge PBS.
