The best way to find out if silent, or unprogrammed, worship speaks to your condition is to experience it. Everyone is welcome! We affirm and acknowledge the wholeness of all people, including their gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations.

Unprogrammed worship is silent worship. We enter the meeting room silently. Our first task when worship begins is to center down, to still the clamor of the world, to turn our attention to the inner voice.

What's New
We recently received a letter from the Friends for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Concerns (FLGBTQC). The FLGBTQC epistle as was sent to us is also located online here: https://www.flgbtqc.org/resources/epistles/
The passage shared at the May 7 meeting for worship was from the Shaker song Simple Gifts.
'Tis the gift to be simple,
’tis the gift to be free
'Tis the gift to come down where you ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend we will not be ashamed,

Light and Dark in the Senseless

My spouse, daughter and I were having dinner with some friends and all the children were playing at our feet under the table. The two toddlers kept throwing their heads back and giggling while the adults talked. Very soon they made their way to our laps as they continued to play, pushing things against their faces and squishing them. It made as much sense as a toddler could make of it.
Karen and Mike Minnis joined Memphis Friends for the meeting for learning on 4/23. The couple have founded and operate a suite of businesses in Orange Mound that focus on nutrition, health, community building and job training. Volunteers are welcome. Many Friends expressed interest in a tour of the gardens to learn more and to identify ways to volunteer:
