Jocelyn Bell Burnell was a Quaker, and she tells this near the start of this 15 min documentary. It helped encourage her to pursue her passion for being an astronomer when she met obstacles for being a girl interested in astronomy. I first heard about her in 1979 and knew she had missed getting a much deserved Nobel Prize. It filled my heart when she received a $3,000,000.00 Breakthrough prize in 2018. Then she gave it away to help encourage minorities in physics and astronomy!
