Sixteen Friends and community members gathered at the meetinghouse on November 6 for a simple supper and to watch the film An Endless War? Getting Out of Afghanistan hosted by the five members of FCNL’s Memphis Advocacy Team. In addition to eye-opening history and analysis of the longest, most costly war in our history, the advocacy team shared the work they have been doing this year to lobby Congress to take back its constitutional authority to debate and decide about when and where to use military force. Teams across the country have been asking their representatives to consider repeal of the 2002 Authorization of Military Force. Why this focus?
