Frederick Friends and guests enjoyed a wonderful time together at Catoctin Quaker Camp the weekend of April 24-26. Some people were there Friday evening through Sunday; others came and went at different times. At one meal, we had at least 35 people (including 15 children). Highlights included 

• Waking up to snow on Saturday morning,

• Sighting a black bear,

• An exercise on the retreat theme of “Tending the Spirit,”

• Worships on climate change and following the lead of Jesus in one’s everyday life,

• A wildflower walk,

• Planting trees,

• Singing and storytelling,

• Intergenerational chess games,

• Playing in the lagoon and on the beach, and

• Being together!
