Queries for February 2014

Public ContentAnyone can view this post

It is the practice of Frederick Friends Meeting to read aloud and contemplate a set of queries during the first Meeting for Worship of each month. Queries are questions used among Quakers to uncover how our faith is being lived out, both individually and as a community.

The queries for February are:

  • In what ways do we respond to prejudice and injustice?
  • Do we teach our children, and show through our way of living, that love of God includes affirming the equality of all people, treating them with dignity and respect, and seeking to address that of God within every person?

To learn more about queries and how Friends use them in the practice of their faith, please see Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice, 1988 edition.
