We had a great time at the 2019 Frederick Pride festival! Many, many people stopped by our tent to talk about the Quaker way and to sign our painting (see below). As a church that has affirmed support for same-sex marriage since 2001, we have been heartened to see the growth in support for the LGBTQ community, and hope that all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, will come to be seen as beloved of God.

As an affirmation of LGBTQ people everywhere, a member of our Meeting, Yarrow First-Hartling, created a painting of a rainbow with the text "You are so holy and loved", which we invited people coming to Frederick Pride to sign. As you can see, a lot of people did so!
