Frederick Friends Meeting has been fairly quiet as the summer has gone on.  Many of our youth have gone to Quaker Camps, with a few children of members serving on staff or as counselors.  Adults too have participated in Camp Life by taking on work grants, or volunteering during Family Camp weekends.

We had an end of the First Day School picnic at the end of the year as well as a Peace Picnic for the Community over the Independence Day Holiday.  We are planning to read A Sustainable Life, by Douglas Gwynn. Committees and individuals continue to do the work of Meeting.  Midweek Meeting continues to be a source of strength for some.  And we try to keep abreast of concerns and needs of those in the meeting.

About 20 Friends, young and old, participated in at least some of aspect of Baltimore Yearly Meeting Annual Session.  Others serve throughout the year on committees or offices of the Yearly Meeting.

Check out our website www.FrederickFriends.org to see what is happening!

Be well!
