This program is patterned after programs being offered by members of the Earthcare Working Group (called “connectors”) who have agreed to facilitate sessions on Earthcare at the monthly meetings of NYYM.

Our program will be a time for us to consider our lives and our meeting in light of the NYYM’s 2007 Eco-Spirituality and Action Minute, as well as in the light of Advice 17 and Query 16 adopted at Summer Sessions in 2012.

To save time on Sunday, we will use three queries based on this material:

In this time of increasing conflict over natural resources and the destruction of life-support systems (water, soil, air) on which we all depend:

• What am I called to do in order to protect and restore the earth?
• What is our Meeting called to do?
• How can our Meeting reach out to other faith communities to protect and restore the earth?

There will be a time at the end of the program where, if participants choose, they can record their thoughts and leadings about Eco-Spirituality on video to be shared on this website.
