The Representatives Council of Friends General Conference helps keep communication strong across the FGC community. It includes representatives from affiliated yearly and monthly meetings, FGC committees, and diverse groups of Friends. The Council makes sure that ideas, needs, and concerns from the wider Quaker community are heard and shared. Meeting at least annually, the Representatives Council connects local meetings with FGC’s work, helps coordinate programs across regions, approves changes to the FGC bylaws, and supports leadership and governance decisions that reflect the diversity and spirit of the Religious Society of Friends.

Please note that as we transition to our new governance structure, some yearly meetings will have more than two representatives until their terms expire. At that time, those yearly meetings’ representation will fall to two people, as the new governance structure dictates. Additional names will appear through 2026 as yearly meetings make their appointments to the new Representatives Council.
