In October 2025, Friends General Conference embraced a new governance structure designed for present needs and future possibilities. Instead of one large committee meeting just once a year, FGC decided to be guided by a smaller Governing Board, a Representatives Council, and our volunteer committees. This structure would allow the organization to make decisions with integrity, improve communication across our community, and ensure that the voices of Friends of Color, LGBTQ+ Friends, and younger Friends are at the heart of our leadership.
