The FGC Gathering Update for December highlights the workshops that are happening at the 2020 Gathering.

Vital Friends

Dear Friend,

There’s a great deal of excitement here in the FGC office around the 2020 FGC Gathering. Our Gathering staff members, the 2020 co-clerks, and the many volunteer committee members who make it possible have been busy confirming evening plenary presenters, considering workshop proposals, and visiting Radford University to confirm all the spaces needed for our spiritually-grounding week together next summer.

We didn’t want to keep the excitement to ourselves, so for our final issue of the decade (!), we’re sharing a special preview of the 2020 FGC Gathering with you, plus an update from the October Central Committee sessions, holiday gifts for children from QuakerBooks, a reflection from Regina Renee Ward about how her understanding of Quaker community has been shaped by the Gathering, an interview with Barry Crossno and J. Brent Bill about their new pamphlet about vocal ministry, and more!

As we approach the holidays and the beginning of a new decade, we wish you and your loved ones peace and joy during your celebrations together, and blessings for the year ahead.

In the Light,
Communications Staff at FGC
