Friends Couple Enrichment workshops enable couples in committed relationships to deepen their intimacy, spiritual connection, communication, love, and playfulness. Exploring vulnerability and connection within a supportive community enables couples to have the courage to reach a deeper level of intimacy. Advanced communication skills build on testimonies and practices.
This workshop is for couples in a committed relationship who wish to dedicate time to deepening their capacity for intimacy, communication, and connecting to the Spirit that has brought them together.
The workshop offers a balance of activities and communication opportunities to exercise discerning, listening and speaking skills so that couples can enhance the quality of their relationship through dialogue, constructive engagement of conflict and open-hearted intimacy. The workshop is a safe space to share and learn from each other, rather than a therapeutical space.
Parents with children of all ages and couples with aging parents under their care are encouraged to attend, as we know how often our committed relationships are left unattended while we care for others in our families.
Held in a warm and welcoming manner each couple will have time to take stock of their relationship in a safe and strengths-based manner. The couples will identify how they wish to grow and build their skills based on their strengths, hopes and “growing edges”. This journey is taken both in private and in the confidential embrace of other couples.
The workshop is offered under the care of Friends Couple Enrichment, an organization that has its roots in Friends General Conference.
