Neurodivergent Friends Discussion Group (1pm ET session)

Event Description

Second Tuesdays at 1pm ET/10am PT AND 7pm ET/4pm PT (same zoom link)

If you are neurodivergent, or suspect you may be, you are welcome to join our Neurodivergent Friends Discussion Group!  We worship together, build community, and share our experiences of the joys and challenges of being neurodifferent among Friends. We respond to a new query or theme each month and everyone gets the chance to share, either aloud or by chat (and you can pass if you don’t wish to share). We’ve built a lovely, nurturing and supportive community and would be happy to meet you!

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1pm ET and again at 7pm ET. We use the same topic, format, and zoom link for the two times so you can choose whichever time best fits your schedule. Contact Mary Linda if you have questions: friendmarylinda@gmail.com

Mary Linda McKinney came to realize she had ADHD only after one of her teen children was diagnosed. Many years later, she learned about dyscalculia and understood that she wasn’t stupid or lazy but has an honest-to-goodness learning disability involving numbers, rules, and working memory. 

As an interfaith spiritual director, facilitator, and workshop leader, she cares deeply about creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for Friends to show up as our authentic selves. She has a tight relationship with the Holy Spirit and absolutely believes that each one of us is uniquely created in the image of God; the more diverse our communities, the more we reflect the fullness of God’s creation. 

Mary Linda volunteers with her local National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) chapter leading support groups and classes (including a new support group for ND folks!). She lives in Greensboro, NC where she and her spouse Mark Wutka, are members of Friendship Friends Meeting/NCYM-Conservative.
