Spiritual Deepening Small Groups

Together We Go Deeper...

Experience Spiritual Deepening through In-Person Small Groups

And Friends meet together, and know one another in that which is eternal, which was before the world was.

- George Fox, Epistle 14.  1831 Edition of Fox’s Epistles, Public Domain.

Imagine what it might mean to build more trust and connection with Friends and newcomers in your Quaker meeting.  Imagine inviting greater meaning, guidance, and growth into your own life.  Imagine the ripple effect in our meetings and communities as we live our faith in the world.

The Spiritual Deepening Program invites Friends and newcomers to rediscover Quaker faith and thought, connect with Spirit, and build relationships with each other through sharing and deep listening.  Meeting together in a small group, Spiritual Deepening program participants share their spiritual stories, explore how Quaker thought and spiritual practices can transform lives, and go deeper together into the life of the Spirit.

Together with a small group within your meeting, you can form a Spiritual Deepening small group that meets in-person to experience Grounding, Sharing, and Practicing activities and exercises together.  Groups can form at any time and can meet for as few as 3 sessions or for as long as a year.  At each session you will experience together one or two exercises from the Spiritual Deepening Program Library, led by a trained small group leader.

As you meet over time, you will deepen your faith, grow in understanding of Quaker thought, build connections with each other, an experience the transforming power of our experiential faith.

The Spiritual Deepening Small Group framework is affordable, flexible, and customizable to minister to the heart of your meeting.

“I rediscovered my belief in Quaker practice and my belief in the personal experiential experience of God.”
