An advanced workshop for Friends actively engaged in racial justice work. We will share successful approaches to addressing White Supremacy and colonialism that will enhance our techniques for challenging racial and ethnic divisions. Participants must write a statement about their work and facilitate an exercise with the group.

Workshop Description

This is an advanced workshop for Friends who have been actively engaged in doing racial justice work in their meeting or community. Through interactive activities and discussion we will focus on sharing & enhancing our techniques for challenging racial and ethnic divisions. We will share different approaches that have been successful in helping people understand the impact of White Supremacy and colonialism. We expect participants to contribute by sharing exercises they have used successfully. We will spend time in worship, affinity groups, share readings and experience exercises suggested by the facilitators and participants. We expect participants to bring at least one exercise that they are responsible for facilitating with the workshop. Each participant will write a statement explaining why this work is important to them to share with the group.
