Airport and Amtrak Transportation Services

Airport Transports

Executive Express has regularly scheduled trips between the Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) airport and the College of Saint Benedict. Their vehicles and drivers will be determined based on the number of advance reservations. Make reservations by June 17 for the best chance of getting a ride at the time you would like. See the Executive Express website for times and prices. You can check with Executive Express about available seats up to 24 hours before your trip.

Wheelchair and Special Needs

If you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for the airport shuttle, please contact the Gathering Office and register for the Scooter Shuttle when you register for the Gathering. We can not accept any reservations for the Gathering Scooter Shuttle after June 10.

Executive Express asks attendees with special needs to fill out a Special Accommodation Form by June 17. The form includes visual, hearing, speech, learning, cognitive/developmental, dexterity, mobility, psychiatric, or other disabilities or issues you would like your driver to know about in order to assist you.

Special accommodation requests need to be made in writing by printing and completing the attached Accommodation Request form below. After completion, please scan/email the form to [email protected] or mail to Executive Express, 3358 Southway Drive, St. Cloud, MN 56301 to arrive by June 17. If you are unable to do this yourself or have trouble with the form, please call the Gathering Office (215-561-1700, option 2 on the menu). We can complete the form by phone and send it to Executive Express on your behalf.

Airport Shuttle Price

The price for one adult will be $53 one way, $88 round trip. If two or more people are traveling in the same party, on the same reservation, the price goes down for each additional person. Two friends who each make their own reservations and happen to end up in the same vehicle would still pay $53 each one way or $88 each round trip.

  • Kids that are age 6 and under always ride free on Executive Express shuttles. See below for carseat requirements.
  • Kids that are age 17 and under ride free with 2 paying adults.
  • Senior discounts - $3 off either a one way or roundtrip.

Airport Arrivals

Executive Express offers rides from the airport from 4:45 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. seven days a week. Check their website for times and make reservations by June 17 for the time most convenient to your flight.

Airport Departures

We advise making departure shuttle reservations by June 17. You might be able to schedule a ride up to 24 hours before you leave, but that would only be if there is still a seat available. Executive Express will be scheduling vehicle sizes and drivers based on the number of advance reservations for departures. If you want to be guaranteed a seat, make your reservations by June 17.

Please allow two hours to get to the airport. Early morning rides are available beginning at 2:15 a.m., arriving at the airport by 4:30 a.m. The final Gathering airport shuttle is scheduled to leave campus at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday the 9th. (We ask everyone to leave campus by 2:00 p.m.).

Note that closing worship is from 9 to 10am.

Executive Express shuttles will leave from The Gorecki Center bus stop on campus, 37 College Ave S.

Amtrak Transportation

We recommend the Yellow Cab taxi service from the St. Cloud Amtrak station. The price for a carload is $25, and advance reservations are recommended. They can fit about 4 people plus some luggage in their regular taxis. (A taxi holds up to 6 people without luggage.) Remember, Amtrak does not check baggage to St. Cloud. If you know there will be more on the train with you, you can pre-reserve an 8-passenger vehicle. Make reservations at least 24 hours in advance. If your train is running late, please call Yellow Cab to let them know.

On the Gathering registration form there is a place to sign up for carpooling, and a section for Amtrak carpooling. If you include a phone number or e-mail address, others traveling on your train can contact you. It is up to Amtrak travelers to contact each other in advance to make group reservations. The Gathering Office will not be able to arrange groups.

If you choose to use the St. Paul station, you can get a bus to the airport to get transportation to campus from there. (Takes about 50 minutes to the airport. See the Metro website for details.)

Taxi Price

$25 for a Yellow Cab car ride from St. Cloud. The price is the same for an 8-passenger vehicle, so if you can get 8 people together for a group reservation, the cost will be lower for each person.

Child Car Seat Laws in Minnesota

You will need to provide your own car seats for young children using the airport or taxi service.

Follow these guidelines when obtaining a car seat for your child:

  • Babies under one year old and all children under 20 lbs: Approved rear-facing infant or convertible car seat, in the back seat of the car.
  • Over 20 lbs to 8 years old: Use a car seat or booster until your child reaches 4'9" in height or eighth birthday.
