Friends General Conference

Nurturing faith and Quaker practice

Workshops offer Gathering attenders the opportunity to be immersed in a topic with other interested Friends. Attenders stay in the same workshop throughout the week, helping form a mini-community within the Gathering. Each workshop meets from 9:00-11:45 AM each weekday. Most workshops include worship or worship-sharing each day.

For couples in committed relationships, this workshop includes worship, worship sharing and experiential exercises in a group atmosphere of increasing trust. Using couple dialogue, we hope to increase communication skills, spiritual depth, intimacy, and the ability to handle conflict and anger. Our goal is enrichment of the relationship, not therapy.

Workshop Number 55 | Stephanie Bean | Dave Diller

Midlife and older couples face many changes. What are our fears and hopes for this next phase of our lives? How will our couple relationship change? Not a "retirement seminar," but a safe and supportive setting in which couples learn how to have these important but sometimes difficult conversations.
