Friends had great discussion on clearness committees on Sunday, April 3, led by Jane Brown. According to the Friends General Conference website: "A clearness committee is a group of Friends appointed to help a member of the meeting find clarity around a leading. ... A clearness committee’s job is to help the focus person discover whether there is clarity to move forward with a matter, wait, or take other action." Jane shared the attached document, which was compiled by Jan Hoffman and published by twelfth month press; the .pdf document, found at the bottom of this page, may be downloaded and reproduced with credit to its author and publisher. Friends who would like to request a clearness committee may contact the Membership and Pastoral Care Committee.
