Pastor

Maggie Edmondson has served as our pastor since September 1996.  British by birth, she moved to the USA following her marriage in 1977 to her husband Ron.  They have three adult children whom they homeschooled.  Maggie brings to us a background in Music and English literature as well as lifelong spiritual studies.  In March 2015 she completed recording a 2-CD collection of musical settings of the psalms, written and performed by her, using voice and keyboard which should be ready for distribution by the summer.  More compositions are in the works!  She performed for 25 years with the Calderwood Consort – a Maine-based early music group.  She has led worship, given talks, workshops and retreats in the wider Friends world as well as in interfaith settings.  She has also served as a representative of New England Friends to several national and international gatherings of Quakers. She has served the Winthrop Area Ministerial Association in various capacities and is also a member of the Capital Area Multifaith Association.
