Provide a Ride Ministry with the West Chester Food Cupboard and Baptist Church of West Chester

For a the past few years members of the Baptist Church of West Chester have provided transportation to and/or from the West Chester Food Cupboard for those who are in need.  We are looking to expand the pool of volunteer drivers with members of other local faith communities.  The time commitment is between 1/2 hour to an hour and 1/2, depending on if they need transportation both ways.  This ministry assists food cupboard clients by providing the means for them to receive the full amount of groceries for a month instead of what they could just carry home or put in a cart on the bus.  As one former volunteer driver said, "it's such a meaningful ministry and it's so simple to do."  If you would like to volunteer, contact Joe Marchese or Baptist Church of West Chester's Office Administrator Donna Dunn at 610-696-7466.  Donna can share with you more about the ministry and the process for connecting clients with drivers.
The days and hours of the food cupboard are: Tuesday 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 -11:30 a.m. A volunteer does not need to be available on all days or times to volunteer.
Thanks,
Pastor Dave Braneky
