Upper Susquehanna Quarterly Meeting
Creative Hands Gathering
Saturday & Sunday - November 11th-12th
Huntingdon Monthly Meeting
2206 Cassady Ave., Huntingdon, PA
Shelter – our own, in our communities and around the country
In light of the recent devastation caused by hurricanes and fires around the country and the world we invite Friends to participate in service projects and discussions about how our creative hands experiences in the past few months have connected us to Spirit? to Community? and how we, as a group, might wish to serve.
Come join Friends of all ages for an hour or two or a whole weekend of fun and projects at Huntingdon Meeting House.
Saturday
10am-5pm– Materials for kid friendly and more complex projects will be available. Here is an idea Amy Harte suggested that could go to animal shelters – https://stories.barkpost.com/how-to-make-a-t-shirt-dog-toy/. Here are other resources to consider - http://createtodonate.org/charities-needing-help/
If you have an idea please contact Lynne – lynneg@epix.net
Noon – potluck – bring a dish to share, place settings will be provided
6:30pm – Supper – a simple meal will be provided by Huntingdon Meeting Friends
After supper - a discussion of the queries above and how we might move forward with a thought to future service projects
What to Bring – Food and drink to share, anything you might need for an overnight if you are staying (i.e. sleeping bag, pillow, etc.), materials for a project or ideas, if you have made something to donate in the past and can bring an example that would be great, and your loving spirit!
