ROANOKE QUAKERS-UPCOMING EVENTS FOR SEPTEMBER 2020
Sorry about the delay in getting this out. Work has been a little crazy lately!
Roanoke Friends Meeting has cancelled Meetings for Worship and other events at the Meetinghouse due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Friends are holding virtual Meetings for Worship on Sundays at 10:30 AM through Zoom conferences. Please contact us through a message at our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/RoanokeQuakers/; our Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1801286263228423/; or our Meeting email at quakersroanoke@gmail.com or our Meeting phone at 540-632-0094 for instructions about joining us through Zoom.
Friends are also holding virtual Midweek Meetings for Worship on second and fourth Wednesdays at 7 PM through Zoom conferences. Again, please contact us through the contact information above for instructions about joining us through Zoom.
Friends have switched the Religious Education program to first Wednesdays at 7 PM. They have switched the Meeting for Business to third Wednesdays at 7 PM. Again, please contact us through the contact information above for instructions about joining us through Zoom.
Finally, an Outdoor Meeting for Worship was scheduled near the Gish House in Highland Park on September 5. This was to support those Friends who can’t worship through Zoom. Another Outdoor Worship is scheduled for September 19 at 10:30 AM near the Gish House in Highland Park. If we have a weather delay, the back-up date is September 26. Please bring a folding chair if you can. We will have a few additional folding chairs. Masks and lots of social distancing are required. We ask everyone to be extremely cautious. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of illness, have been around anyone with Covid, or if you have traveled recently.

September 6 at 10:30 AM-Meeting for Worship
September 9 at 7 PM-Midweek Meeting for Worship
September 13 at 10:30 AM-Meeting for Worship
September 16 at 7 PM-Meeting for Business
