Raleigh Friends Meeting (Quakers) mourns the loss of lives in the recent violence against members of the LGBTQ, Black, and Law Enforcement communities.
Quakers have a 360-year history of believing in equality for all and treating everyone with respect and dignity;
we find the amount of violence, racism, and hatred that is evident in these and other recent events to be a call for healing and love in our communities.
Retaliation only brings more retaliation. Violence is not the answer.
Love, connection, and understanding are the answer.
