Job Opening for NYM High School Coordinator!
The Northern Yearly Meeting (NYM) of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) continues to search for someone with a leading to be a paid part time High School Coordinator to provide programs and to coordinate activities for Quaker High School Friends. Because we have not received any applications to date we also invite individuals to consider if they might be led to share this position. There may be a variety of ways to do so, including having one person handle the bulk of the administrative duties and another leading the actual retreats. The responsibilities of the position include:
a) planning and leading retreats,
b) helping youth to find/participate in new experiences related to spiritual development, service, and leadership, and
c) being sensitive and intentional in recognizing the need for some issues to be referred to pastoral or professional care.
A detailed job description giving qualifications, responsibilities, hours and budget is attached. Note that the $6000 is all we have for the position, whether it is held by one person or shared. Work would ideally begin on January 1, 2018 or later if the hiring process is not completed by that time.

c) Three letters of reference, or contact information for three references (at least one of whom can talk about your work with teens and one who can talk about your involvement with Quakers). Letters of reference can be sent directly or forwarded by the applicant, but should include contact information of the person providing the reference.
