Affordable Housing Initiative

Until the early 1970’s a Friends Boarding Home was operated near our Meetinghouse on Swede Street. Today, members of Norristown Monthly Meeting are working to create a non-profit apartment building in our neighborhood. This project will provide affordable housing, help renew and strengthen our ties to the local neighborhood, and provide an opportunity to engage in work that is consistent with our Quaker Testimonies.
