A Sandra Boynton Theme

Adults outnumbered children, but we were all young at heart as we searched our Sandra Boynton books for animals to mark off on our Boynton Bingo cards, read Denny's favorite book 15 Animals, sampled Susan's book Pajama Time!, took a look at the poem Sandra wrote when she was eight years old at Germantown Friends School, and reflected on Sandra's answer to the question of how her Quaker childhood had influenced her writing: “The things that I think of being at the heart of Quaker education are non-violence, and a sincere valuing of the individual. I hope these are also at the center of the upbeat and kind of offbeat work I do.”

Then we did some dino dancing to the story Dinosaur Dance and the song Tyrannosaurus Funk

Finally, because it was bedtime in Spain, where our children were, we wound down by reading and kinda singing Snuggle Puppy and admiring Laura's sleepy doggo Angel.
