Ruth Boaz, a founding member of Memphis Friends Meeting, passed away in November 2008. Her rose bush has continued to flourish under the care of Sandy, who reported recently that for the first time a cutting from the rose bush has taken root and has begun to grow. Its tender green leaves are a reminder that we must work diligently and look carefully for new beginnings.
