Memphis AVP has two upcoming community workshops. Is one of them just right for you or someone you know? As always, meals and snacks will be provided and all are welcome whether or not they are able to contribute to costs. It is important for participants to be ready to commit to the entire weekend. Please help us spread the word!

Alternatives to Violence Project started in the 1970s as a joint project of incarcerated people, community volunteers (who happened to be Quakers), and civil rights leader Bernard Lafayette. It has now spread to many prisons and communities worldwide. Memphis AVP is still young, founded in 2015. Join us and help something beautiful grow in Memphis! All aged 14 and older are welcome. (For experienced AVPers interested in becoming facilitators, this workshop is also an opportunity for you to become a facilitator-in-training.)
