At the recent meeting for worship, Khyber offered this passage from Friend Mary Linda: "Whatever breaks your heart can be your invitation to action."

Several Friends who had been in attendance at the memorial for Jere on September 4 shared messages about what is remembered and emphasized in times of grief. One Friend, a Reiki practitioner who associates the number 4 with the heart, felt Jere's presence very strongly during these messages.

On September 19, several family members of Jere will be joining Friends for a Meeting for Learning where we will recall Jere's life as we knew it in her three and a half decades of active participation in the life of our meeting. We saw her tender and strong heart active in so many ways - in her work with special needs children and her generous and gentle listening to all who crossed her path or walked alongside her.
